Our group of three had a great time at DDG. Our beverages were expertly crafted. Our appetizers were the shrimp (which were enormous) with a dab of delectable aioli. The poached pear salad was delicious with the goat cheese and dressing combo; however, a little less dressing might have been used. For meals, we got the risotto, which was done well, and the beef au poivre, which was presented medium rare (but closer to rare, which was fine). Let's face it, thinly sliced fries cooked in duck fat are ideal. However, the Truffle Mac side dish was the highlight of the dinner. We completed our meal with the flourless chocolate cake, which was listed as being served with whipped cream but arrived with ice cream. (I believe the whipped cream is a superior mix) It was excellent. We had a wonderful evening, and the service was a well-executed collaborative effort. We would very definitely return. It was a ânicerâ night out for us, $280 for three before tip.
