Nicolas Cage Con Air Bunny

Con Air's idiocy and over-the-top nature cemented Cage's reputation as an over-the-top performer. That is not necessarily a negative thing, since Cage does like going large and was doing so before to Con Air, but it is rather ironic. Con Air accelerates it immediately, but Cage never really does. While he does an excellent job with his Southern accent, he maintains a rather calm demeanor, particularly in compared to the rest of the film. Poe is sardonic and sort of calm in Cage's Poe. He even lacks a characteristic Cage freak out, at least not to the extent that he did in, say, Valley Girl. By the way, none of this is detrimental. I like Nicolas Cage's performance in Con Air. He makes bizarre decisions throughout the film that other performers would almost certainly not make, yet it all works brilliantly. The way he and Malkovich interact is superb. It's simply curious that Cage is probably most known for going far over the top, yet the film as a whole, not him particularly, went way over the top. It's strange how it works.

Con Air, directed by Simon West, starring Nicholas Cage, John Malkovich, and John Cuasck. Cameron Poe (Nicolas Cage), a recently pardoned army ranger, is returning home to his wife (Monica Potter), but must do so on a prison transport aircraft called "Jailbird" filled with some of the world's most notorious criminals. Cyrus "The Virus" Grissom (John Malkovich) hatches a violent escape scheme in mid-flight with Diamond Dog (Ving Rhames) and Baby-O (Mykelti Williamson). Poe attempts to thwart Grissom's plot by secretly collaborating with US Marshall Vince Larkin (John Cusack). This film may be summed up succinctly with the slogan 'PUT THE BUNNY BACK IN THE BOX'. There is nothing more to say, but I did take notes while watching, so why not? The acting was all excellent in this film, which had a trite, idiotic narrative, words taken from from the Bible, and ludicrous action. This is the finest terrible film I've ever watched. It should not be this wonderful. I strongly suggest this film; it's pure, unadulterated stupidity at its finest, and I implore you to see it at least once in your life.

Gross Rank Release 1 Ghost 205,344,137 dollars $170,111,732 2 Pretty Woman 3 Alone in the House $143,592,523 $135,265,915 4 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles What exactly did Cyrus the Virus accomplish? Cyrus dubbed âThe Virusâ Grissom is the film's primary antagonist. He is a violent, psychotic criminal with a lengthy criminal record that includes convictions for abduction, robbery, murder, and extortion.

Cage's role in Quentin Tarantino's and Robert Rodriguez's coproduction Grindhouse is very meta and short â approximately four seconds in all â but well worth mentioning. He appears in a trailer for the film named âWerewolf Women of the SS,â which was directed by Rob Zombie. Cage appears as a cackling version of Fu Manchu in a pitch-perfect 1970s B-movie spoof.
