Rupert Murdoch, the media billionaire, revealed his engagement to former supermodel Jerry Hall and detailed his intentions for his fourth marriage in a classified post in one of his British publications on Tuesday. Mr Rupert Murdoch, father of Prudence, Elisabeth, Lachlan, James, Grace, and Chloe Murdoch, and Miss Jerry Hall, mother of Elizabeth, James, Georgia, and Gabriel Jagger, are happy to announce their engagement.
âThe marriage will be Murdoch's fourth, but Jerry Hall's first technically. Sir Mick Jagger, who has long been regarded as one of rock's meanest billionaires, successfully petitioned to have his 1990 marriage to Hall declared unofficial when they divorced in 1999.
The most perplexing issue the pairing raised was why Murdoch, who had already had a humiliating, public divorce, would chose to marry again. The 84-year-old guy is worth more than $11 billion. He might certainly enjoy his twilight years, triumphs, and wealth in the company of a female, or many ladies, without having to go through the rigmarole of a formal partnership. That is not to deny that Rupert Murdoch is possibly the greatest romantic of our day. It's an obvious conclusion to make from any investigation of his previous love life. The guy is just infatuated with love. Murdoch has been married since 1956, with the exception of about three years between and after his divorces. That equates to 60 years of conjugal marriage. He has been married to the same woman since before Alaska and Hawaii were recognized to be part of the union, and has been married to 11 different US presidents. Murdoch's first three marriages lasted an average of 11 years, 31 years, and 14 years. In the United States, the average duration of a marriage that ends in divorce is little more than eight years.
"This is a tremendous responsibility," Rupert Murdoch, 90, said through a spokeswoman regarding the acquisition, which the listing agent described as the biggest ranch transaction in Montana history. "We are honored to take ownership of this magnificent piece of property and look forward to continuing improving both the commercial cattle operation and the ranch's conservation assets," Murdoch added.
