Utilizing Silhouettes in Your Work How useful are silhouettes to a designer? Indeed, quite a bit. Let us begin with pre-production. For many concept designers, silhouettes are employed to connect their concepts. Perhaps they were unable to complete the final image's intricacies and could only envisage how it would fit into the setting. Perhaps they're imagining the placement of a certain image while they develop the rest of the design around it. Whatever their intended use, these silhouettes might temporarily take the place of the genuine item until pre-production work is completed.
