Knowing that fighting both of them would be tough, Wolverine first feigned to partner up with the Hulk against the Wendigo, but turned against him after they destroyed the beast. Logan launched a vicious attack on the Green giant and battled for an extended amount of time, but the two seemed to be equally matched. When the operation went too long, Wolverine was instructed to abort and return to the helicopter, which would take him back to Department H. Silver Fox, like Wade Wilson/Deadpool, lacked mutant talents prior to being endowed with enhanced healing and regenerative abilities by the Weapon X program.
In the comics, Wolverine discovered a tiny settlement of the Blackfoot Indian tribe in the 1910s, which also housed Sabretooth. Wolverine fell in love with the lady dubbed Silver Fox (her actual name is unknown), with whom he shared a lodge in the woods. Sabretooth, on the other hand, assaulted, raped, and murdered Silver Fox, prompting Wolverine to flee town in mourning. Silver Fox, on the other hand, had escaped the onslaught. Years later, Silver Fox joined the Weapon X program, but due to the memory changes performed on her, Sabretooth, and Wolverine, it is unknown how much of their previous fights they recalled. Silver Fox eventually reunites other Weapon X members, including Wolverine, Sabretooth, Wraith, and Maverick, in order to investigate the scientist who gave them their false memories, but the meeting ends with the scientist manipulating Sabretooth, who murders Silver Fox.
Several years later, Jimmyâdubbed Loganâ is forced to confront his past when Stryker attempts to bring him back to the squad... and a furious Victor later murders Logan's girlfriend. Stryker reintroduces himself to Logan and offers him a deal: if he has a procedure to fortify his bones with adamantium, he will have a chance to avenge Victor. Logan survives the procedure thanks to his healing factor, then flees Stryker's hands just before a planned memory wipeâand swears to assassinate both Stryker and Victor. The Wolverine, a sequel to this film, was released in 2013. Originally intended as a sequel to this film, it became a sequel to X-Men: The Last Stand. Additionally, this picture was the first of a proposed Origins Spin-Off series, which would have continued with X-Men Origins: Magneto, which was cancelled and extensively reworked into X-Men: First Class.
